Gas mileage of a van and canoe trailer?

Does anyone have a number on mpgs of a van towing a trailer? I'm trying to calculate the cost of a long drive verses rental at the site, and it would help to know this mileage. If yer basic ford E350 gets 15-19 mpg unloaded and not towing, what do people think it gets avec un grand trailer de canoe?

Well, now that I'm safely back from Florida, I've had a chance to answer the question for myself. In case anyone was wondering, I drove a total of 4000 miles, with an empty E350 and a trailer with eight kayaks, and averaged 12.4 mpg. Never again, though, at it was far too time-consuming, expensive in terms of carbon if not money, and a pain in my right foot - no cruise.
