Normally you have to create a wiki page before you can create a link to it from another wiki; however, Community Server allows you to create links to new wiki pages from inside a wiki. This feature gives you the advantage of laying out additional wiki pages while you are composing the text in your current wiki.

Seeing How It Works

You want to create a new wiki page, so you navigate to your wiki. The wiki opens with the list of pages that have already been created.

You click Add Page to open a window to compose your wiki page.

As you compose you realize that you will have to create more wiki pages to describe fully how to use wiki links. Below the wiki body you add the title for your next wiki page use the following syntax to add links: wiki title.

Now you can complete the body of your current wiki page and save it.  Evolution opens the Article tab with your text displaying along with a link to a new wiki page.

The link, however, is for a page that does not yet exist. Click on the link. Evolution opens another window for you to compose your text. Note that the title field is already populated with the name you gave your link.

After you complete the text of your second wiki page and save it, you can return to the wiki home page. The two pages your just created display at the top of the list.

The page titles also display in the Table of Contents list in the right sidebar.
