This is Rick Curtis with the first in a series of videos about the International Incident Database System (IIDB). The International Incident Database System is the most advanced incident database system ever developed for the outdoor industry. The Incident Database System combines an extensive data collection and tracking system with a robust flexibility that allows it to be used in any incident data collection paradigm for any type of program. The Database has grown out of the need for outdoor and other programs to be able to collect and compare incident data from programs around the world.We'll start by adding a new incident to the System and explain some of the key features that makes this application so effective for tracking incident data.The Incident Database System is data collection model is based on a multi-tiered data collection process. At each level you determine how much information is crucial to capture about your incident.
