This is Rick Curtis and this is the third in a series of videos about the International Incident Database. This video focuses on some of the reporting features that the Web Version of the system offers. Here we are looking at the Incident Dashboard. Dashboards are a great reporting tool for get a high level visual overview of what is happening with incidents in your organization. The other reporting features of the International Incident Database include live search filtering on current incidents and drill-down capabilities allowing users to search for particular types of incidents.
This is Rick Curtis and this is the second in a series of videos about the International Incident Database System (IIDB). This video focuses on adding additional information to an incident. You should have already watched the video on "Adding an Incident."

Previously, we added the Core Data of our Incident "Broken leg from canoe capsize" in the previous video. Now we are going to show you the multi-tiered aspect of the database that allows you to enter additional rich levels of detail about an incident.

Let's do a quick review of the data that we have already entered....If we need to edit any of our origional information we can simply click the Edit button to go in and make changes.

As you can see if we needed to add additional information about Environment, Environmental Conditions, or Weather we could click on the links to add/edit each of these categories.

Now let's add information about a particular person involved in this incident...

This is Rick Curtis with the first in a series of videos about the International Incident Database System (IIDB). The International Incident Database System is the most advanced incident database system ever developed for the outdoor industry. The Incident Database System combines an extensive data collection and tracking system with a robust flexibility that allows it to be used in any incident data collection paradigm for any type of program. The Database has grown out of the need for outdoor and other programs to be able to collect and compare incident data from programs around the world.

We'll start by adding a new incident to the System and explain some of the key features that makes this application so effective for tracking incident data.

The Incident Database System is data collection model is based on a multi-tiered data collection process. At each level you determine how much information is crucial to capture about your incident.
