Enabling Javascript in your Browser


A number of the features of Outdoor Ed require Javascript to be enabled to allow full functionality of the site.


Internet Explorer 6 for PC

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. From the Tools menu select Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab, and then select the Custom Level button.
  4. Scroll down until you see Scripting options. Make sure the Enable radio button under Active scripting is selected.
  5. Click OK to save changes.
  6. Close and restart Internet Explorer. 



Firefox 1.x for Windows and Linux / Unix

  1. Start Firefox.
  2. In Windows: From the Firefox menu select Tools / Options.
    In Linux/Unix: From the Firefox menu select Edit / Preferences.
  3. Click on Web Features in the left column.
  4. Check the checkbox for Enable Javascript.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close and re-open Firefox.  

Safari for Macintosh

  1. Open Safari.
  2. In the menu bar, click on Safari.
  3. In the drop-down menu, click on Preferences.
  4. Click on Security in the top row of the new window.
  5. Check the checkbox for Enable JavaScript.
  6. Click on the red dot in the upper left corner to close the window.
  7. Close and re-open Safari. 

Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh

  1. From the Explorer menu select Preferences.
  2. Expand the Web Browser menu and select Web content.
  3. Check the checkboxes for Show style sheets and Enable scripting.
  4. Click on OK.
  5. Close and re-open IE. 

Netscape 7.x for PC

  1. Open Navigator.
  2. From the Edit menu select Preferences.
  3. Click on Advanced, then open Scripts and Windows.
  4. Under Enable JavaScript for click the checkbox next to Navigator.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close and re-open Navigator.

Netscape 6.x for PC

  1. Start Navigator.
  2. From the Edit menu select Preferences.
  3. Click on Advanced.
  4. Click in the checkbox next to Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close and re-open Navigator.

Netscape 4.x for PC

  1. Start Navigator.
  2. From the Edit menu select Preferences.
  3. Click on Advanced.
  4. Check the Enable JavaScript and Enable style sheets checkboxes.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Close and re-open Navigator.

Netscape 7 for Macintosh

  1. From the Netscape menu select Preferences.
  2. Expand the Advanced option.
  3. Select Scripts & Plugins.
  4. Under Enable JavaScript for check the checkbox next to Navigator.
  5. Click on OK.
