  11. Make a difference in the life of a child! Help campers explore the outdoors and have fun through mountain biking! Birch Trail Camp is a traditional camp for girls aged 7-15. We strive to provide a safe, fun, and non-competitive summer camp environment for almost 200 campers and close to 100 staff. While in camp, the girls have the opportunity to do a wide variety of activities including, canoeing, sailing, swimming, water skiing, climbing, land sports, horseback riding, arts & crafts, tennis, dance, yoga, and drama. Our oldest campers love to go mountain biking on our miles and miles of interlocking trails! Our trail system includes lots of great single track with varying degrees of difficulty. The Mountain Biking Instructor teaches the fundamentals of trail riding and mountain biking to our 13-15 year-old campers. Teach campers the parts of the bike, basic bike maintenance, and safety precautions. The Mountain Biking Instructor will oversee the entire biking program and design daily lesson plans. Depending on the applicant's background and interests, the person holding this position may also be a cabin counselor. If you love mountain biking and spending time with kids in the outdoors, then a summer at Birch Trail is for you!
  13. Both men and women who are at least 18 years old with mountain biking experience are encouraged to apply. All applicants must have an interest in working with children and should feel confident in instructing less experienced riders about the fundamentals of mountain biking. We will provide you with any additional training needed, particularly in the areas of bike maintenance and risk management. We are looking for fun, enthusiastic applicants who understand the value and challenge in learning how to mountain bike. All staff are required to be CPR certified.
  14. We offer a very competitive salary with bonuses for most of your certifications. We will provide you with room & board and a tax-free travel stipend to help get you to camp. You can earn additional money by working extra weeks either before or after the camping season. We will also provide all training necessary to help you most successfully do this job.
