  10. The BOC Program Coordinator (BOC PC) is responsible for planning and implementing BOC Programs, including acting as a liaison for all BOC groups prior to and upon their arrival to camp.
  11. 1. Schedule & plan programs, staff & resources for all groups. Ensure all groups are prepared before arrival.
    2. Interact collaboratively with other BOC Program Coordinators.
    3. Meet regularly with BOC Program Director & staff to share updates, information and plan for upcoming groups.

    1. Act as primary liaison (host) for groups. Serve as coordinator of daily schedule & staff assigned to the group.
    2. Facilitate and run classes and activities when necessary, as an instructor (occasional).
    3. Facilitate teacher and chaperone meetings with assigned school groups.
    4. Complete billing, evaluations, and necessary follow-up with groups assigned upon departure.
    5. Serve as the staff member on call as assigned and respond to emergencies promptly and professionally.

    1. Supervise and evaluate seasonal staff, in conjunction with BOC Program Director.
    2. Facilitate staff scheduling and staff meetings.
    3. Assist the BOC Program Director in planning and delivery of staff trainings.
    4. Assist with recruitment of seasonal staff.
    5. Assist the BOC Program Director in staff check-in and check-out procedures.

    1. Function as an effective member of the staff team and the entire department & organization.
    2. Communicate effectively to staff and supervisor.
    3. Effectively communicate mission and goals of BCCYMCA to all program instructors and guests.
    4. Perform all assigned duties in an enthusiastic and timely manner.
    5. Maintain general facility and equipment upkeep on a daily basis. Maintain facility for safety and cleanliness.
    6. Assist with maintaining compliance with all ACA accreditation requirements and Commonwealth regulations.
    7. Work to develop a leading edge program which meets the needs of the clientele of BCCYMCA.

  12. The Berkshire Outdoor Center Program Coordinator must:
    1. Have a Bachelor's degree
    2. Have experience in Education, Recreation or in a related field.
    3. Have a commitment to the mission of BCCYMCA and an ability to implement this mission through BOC programs and interpret this mission to the guests and other staff of BCCYMCA.
    4. Have a minimum of 1 year experience working in Outdoor Education programs.
    5. Have excellent communication and organizational skills, confidence and willingness to interact in a positive and motivational manner with peers and guests.
    6. Be flexible, patient and have strong initiative.
    7. Be a customer service oriented problem solver.
    8. Have a valid driver's license and become an approved BCCYMCA driver.
