ATV Director

Job Description

Reports to: Camp Olmsted Director

Essential Functions:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Be certified in or willing to attend a one-week training session to become certified as an ASI (ATV Safety Institute) Instructor
  • Be competent in written and online data entry for the purposes of recording of data from youth course
  • Be able to see and act quickly in emergency situations
  • Be readily and physically mobile in the event emergency first aid is required

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure program area is following the rules and regulations of the Boy Scouts of America National Camp Accreditation Program (NCAP) and the ATV Safety Institute
  • Plan, lead, and execute the program provided by the ATV Safety Institute
  • supervise, train, and motivate an additional instructor in the ATV area
  • direct the set-up and take-down of a quality ATV area
  • maintenance, inventory, security, safety, and wise use of all ATV equipment
  • maintain strict discipline at all times when campers, leaders, and other staff are in the area
  • participate in all camp-wide activities
  • submit a complete inventory of all ATV equipment, including condition and recommendations for next year's supplies
  • assist in the set-up and take-down of all campsite facilities
  • all other duties as assigned.


$300-$400/week for 8.5 weeks; negotiable and commensurate with experience
