Qualified candidates will have experience in a commercial food preparation environment. Candidate should be cheerful and outgoing, able to rise early and work long hours, and comfortable in all aspects of food service. Cook will be responsible for preparing, serving and cleaning up to 3 meals per day for 5-7 days per week. Candidate will be responsible, with assistance from the counselors, for supervision of campers and volunteers who may assist with meal preparation, service and clean-up. Candidate should be flexible, as some days we will not require food service. Typical meal schedules are: Breakfast 6:30 am, Lunch 12:30 pm, Dinner 5:30 pm. Camp typically serves between 10 and 20 people at each meal. Lodging is provided in a bunk room with other staff when not on duty.
Open to anyone 21+ who meets commercial safety standards for food service and preparation. Certificates required upon application or interview.
