Job Description

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan’s Camp Settoga, located in Rockland County, is looking for Challenge Course specialists to join our team for summer 2021! 

You will have the chance to create memories for campers that will last a lifetime, and to be a role model and create strong bonds with campers and staff alike. 

Must be available five days a week, June 21st-25th for staff orientation and June 28th-August 20th for camp. Specific training for Challenge Course staff during staff orientation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure that all set-up is completed prior to camp day
  • Build trust team activities suited for each group
  • Follow safety procedures as specified in the Camp Settoga policies and procedures manual
  • Upkeep of challenge course including a safety check of elements and surrounding environment prior to each use
  • Provide necessary maintenance of equipment check the safety of ropes and spraying helmets for lice prior to each use/ Bandanas to pool deck for laundry at the end of each day
  • Participate in all camp activities including camper orientation, community meetings, evening activities, campfire, free time and time on/off schedule
  • Course set-up and take-down
