As a staff member, you will have opportunities to teach, learn, develop your leadership and technical skills, and influence the lives of children all while experiencing the grandeur of Colorado.
Hiring; Counselors, Assistant Counselors, Wranglers, Nurses, Photographers, Mountain Biking and Climbing Coordinators, Outcamp Coordinator, Arts & Crafts Director, Kitchen Coordinator
Benefits: Base Salary starting at $2,700 plus housing, meals, Pro Deals and laundry
About us: Our focus is on child development through fun and adventure in the Colorado Rockies.
We are the largest camp land wise (6,000 acres) in the country.
We climb the highest peaks in Colorado, horse pack for miles, canoe for days, mountain bike and offer endless memories with amazing people.
We have Brother & Sister camps for boys and girls age 7 to 17.
Mission: Live together in the outdoors, building a sense of self, community, earth, & wonder through fun & adventure.
2 weeks of training:
Some examples of focus are child development, backcountry skills, trip leading and program specific areas.
Backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, horseback riding, canoeing, natural sciences, water activities, arts & crafts, drama, film, sports and much more.
Experience with kids and outdoor activities is preferred.
Experience in program areas and additional certifications a plus! (Lifeguard, WFA, WFR, EMT, IMBA, AMGA …)
Assistant Counselors: 18+
Counselors: 2 years out of high school- traditionally college sophomores and older.
*Must be willing to work, teach and live with children while creating a respectful community.*
