Teen Adventure Program Leader
The Mission of Summer Camps at College Settlement is to provide camping programs and services to young people from the greater Philadelphia area, especially those who are economically disadvantaged, in order to foster personal growth through understanding, acceptance, respect for self, others and our natural world by means of enjoyable, experiential and environmental educational activities.
We are looking for six Teen Adventure Program leaders who will lead our adventure based programs from both our base camp and our mountain outpost.
Our program is designed to allow teens to grow in numerous ways: self- confidence, teamwork, leadership and new outdoor skills. This unique combination fosters an appreciation for the environment, instills a spirit of adventure, and a sense of community through memorable wilderness and community experiences. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a behind the scenes tour of a museum or college, climb our high ropes course, bike and hike through some of Pennsylvania’s most stunning trails and camp at our beautiful mountain outpost.
We run five- or twelve-day programs designed for 13 and 14 year olds who enjoy camping, backpacking and adventure based activities. Twenty-four Teen Campers each session will participate in a wide variety of challenges, and no two days will be exactly the same.This program includes adventure-challenge activities which are based out of both our Horsham and also Spruce Run Mountain Outpost properties. The boys and girls Teen Adventure Groups are not co-ed.

Applicants should be age 21+ with a clean driver’s license.
First Aid/CPR and Lifeguard Training will be provided.
Experience in outdoor recreation and youth work preferred.
