Twin Hills: Day Camp Director
Do you enjoy being outside, working within nature, and mentoring the young girls of the future? If so, we are looking for strong Camp Director candidates for Camp Twin Hills in Richmond VT. Day Camp Directors are responsible for the health and safety of the campers and for helping girls plan and carry out their own programs. The position requires the ability to work with children and adults each day, while maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
The camp season is July 8th to Aug 2nd. Camp week runs Monday - Friday from 7 am to 6 pm, with late nights until 8 pm on Wednesdays. Camp Directors are expected to help with pre-camp promotional days and staff training, as well a camp clean up day (as necessary).
The Day Camp Director is responsible for the total operation of the day camp. She oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of flexible, creative programs as summarized in the Summer Camp Guide which reflect the mission and vision of Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. The Day Camp Director is responsible for staff supervision including interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and, when necessary, releasing day camp staff. The Day Camp Director oversees parent communication efforts, campers, camp finances, camp supplies and camp transportation. The position involves pre-season preparation and after hours work.
