This course has the option of upgrading to a Wilderness EMT certification through a WEMT module (requires current EMT certificate or licensure).

This is a hybrid WFR course, which is comprised of a home-study portion, with online lectures and study resources. Currently certified or licensed EMTs may use the course to obtain WEMT certification through the WEMT module. Upon successful completion of a set of online tests, both WFR and WEMT students attend a 5-day practical session at the Boise State University campus, where students will focus on applying their understanding through hands-on simulations, skill labs and case study reviews.
