The 2-day practical session for this hybrid recertification course is held at the North Cascades Heli Ski Barn located near the Freestone Inn in Mazama, WA. From Winthrop, follow the signs to Mazama on SR-20. The Freestone Inn is located 1.5 miles west of the Mazama Junction. The heli-barn is located on the cabin loop, just past the Inn proper. If driving from the West side, keep in mind that the North Cascades highway might not be open yet: Check Dept of Transportation website for current highway 20 conditions if coming from western Washington.

Odin Falls is a 48-acre property along the Deschutes River with amazing views from the lodge (classroom) deck. The property offers excellent desert, rock, and river simulation sites. This is one of the most realistic and fun places to take a wilderness medicine course.
