Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Outdoor School Program Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting educational initiative that promotes experiential learning in a natural setting.

Responsibilities: Assist in Program Coordination: Support the planning, organization, and execution of outdoor education programs, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for participants.

Facilitate Outdoor Activities: Lead and assist in a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, team-building exercises, and environmental education programs.

Supervise Participants: Provide guidance and supervision to program participants, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Maintain Equipment and Facilities: Ensure all outdoor equipment is in good condition, perform routine checks, and assist with the maintenance of outdoor facilities.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures, promoting a culture of safety among participants and staff.

Educational Support: Assist in delivering educational content related to outdoor activities and essential education outdoors, enhancing participants’ knowledge and appreciation for nature.

Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, maintain accurate records, and assist in administrative tasks related to program logistics.

Qualifications: Enthusiasm for outdoor education and a genuine interest in fostering a love for nature.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience working with youth or in an outdoor education setting is a plus.

Basic knowledge of outdoor activities and safety procedures.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.

Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required by program schedules.

First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Reliable transportation needed

Competitive hourly wage of $20.
