This course led by NRA instructor. The NRA certification course trains riflery instructors to teach rifle marksmanship and safely operate a camp and recreation riflery range. The full three day course is recommended for staff operating a range at a summer camp. Range Safety Officer, NRA Basic Instructor, and NRA Rifle Discipline, are all included in this course and are required by NY state Department of Health to operate a shooting sports range. Introduces American Canoe Association (ACA) instructor competencies and curriculum for certification in canoe touring and river canoe courses.  Topics include hazard assessment and safety, technical knowledge and skills development, decision-making and judgement, instructional and leadership abilities in a river environment.  This course progresses from flatwater review through moving and whitewater up to class II-III.  Students participate in Advanced Swift Water Rescue training.  Students participate in regional field trips to area waterways.
