This documentary follows my two year long solo hike across the country on the Pacific Crest Trail. This film is a real, raw, story of the youngest person in the world to solo hike the Pacific Crest Trail, a trail that covers over 2650 miles from Mexico to Canada. During this hike I encountered countless challenges, from meeting bears, almost stepping on rattle snakes, traversing snowy passes at 13,000 feet, fording raging rivers, and much more. I hope you enjoy this film. It took two years, thousands of hours of hiking, and hundreds of hours to edit. I am not currently making a penny of this film, and I did not have any sponsor on this hike so I would love if you could please support my journey through subscribing and leaving a like. I am grateful for the work of the PCTA which is the reason the trail is around today, if you are looking to a place to donate consider this option:
Commonly asked questions:
Who filmed: The filming you saw was from a mix of sources. Most of the shots I took, whether I was holding the camera in my hands, or I set it down, and walked out, and back. A few clips were taken by other hikers that I met along the way. And there were a few clips in the Sierra Nevada which my dad took during the five days he hiked with me.
Did I do this completely alone: Yes, and no. I set out alone, but I met many other amazing hikers out there that I was not completely alone. The trail community is amazing on the PCT. Would I do it again: It was a very hard experience, but it did not take away my love for adventure. I do want to keep the adventures going, hiking, and many more, liking biking, and rafting.
