During my twenties, I spent a lot of time in the mountains. I had a couple of very close calls on big mountain climbs. So, I stopped Alpine climbing for almost 30 years. This summer, I returned to the very same terrain – this time with a friend and the world class ACMG (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) Guide, Will Gadd. ACMG produces some of the world’s best guides operating in some of the riskiest terrains in the world. Travelling in this terrain with the right guide turned something I had become scared of into a truly joyful and exhilarating experience. The last few years, I have been working with a team of great Leadership and Business Guides and Coaches at Early to Rise. In the same way as a the right Climbing Guide, Craig Ballantyne and Daniel Woodrum and the team have made navigating business and personal growth significantly faster, easier, and more enjoyable. As a financial advisor and guide, I am doing a deeper exploration of how to get better guiding people in the risky world of financial markets.
