Adventure Outings is a recreation program that is “for the students, by the students” and is funded by the Associated Students. We provide trip leadership, information and educational experiences for about 40 adventures each semester. AO’s trip leaders are students of the University, who provide the guidance that has gained Adventure Outings a national reputation for program excellence. Our mission is to conduct state-of-the-art, adventure-related activities and programs structured to enhance the experiences of the Chico State University community.

In addition to the outings program, Adventure Outings has a full-service equipment rental program, a portable climbing wall, and bike repair service.
