The Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Educational Center provides school-based outdoor education programs to elementary and middle school students in multiple day sessions. In the Environmental Education Program, students participate in outdoor environmental science classes, exploring the 250 acres of fields, forests, lakes, and streams on our campus. The Soaring Thru Spaces program uses team challenges and high ropes activities to bring about positive change in students’ leadership abilities, communication skills, self-esteem, and cooperative abilities. The ORIENT Project is a GPS based science exploration designed for middle school and high school students. This program builds on the worldwide technological scavenger hunt of geocaching. All of our school programs are offered in 1, 2, and 3 day adventures.
The Penn 4-H Educational Center also offers both day and residential Summer Camping Programs. These age appropriate programs for 6-17 year olds allow campers to grow by challenging themselves in an environment where they feel safe and accepted. Some activities may include: canoeing, crafts, archery, climbing, low and high ropes, horses, and swimming.
