Birch Trail is a traditional summer camp for girls aged 7-15. We see camping as one of the few remaining opportunities for children to experience the beauty and fun to be found in a natural setting. We believe that the academic and social pressures which are part of our children’s lives need to be relieved occasionally. Birch Trail satisfies this need with a happy, nurturing, relaxed, and non-competitive environment where each child is rewarded for her individual achievement and effort. We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. While in camp, the girls have the opportunity to do a wide variety of activities including, canoeing, sailing, swimming, water skiing, climbing, land sports, horseback riding, arts & crafts, tennis, dance, yoga, and drama. One of the hallmarks of a Birch Trail experience is our extensive wilderness trip program where campers have the opportunity to go on 3-8 day camping trips in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Canada. We lead trips that include basic camping, backpacking, flat-water and white-water canoeing, sea kayaking, horseback riding, and rock climbing. We hire staff who are sincerely interested in working with kids for an extended period of time. If you are a fun, patient, caring, and responsible person who wants to spend time in the outdoors with kids, then working at Birch Trail is for you. After a summer at camp, you’ll have memories, friendships, and experiences to last a lifetime!
