BWLC’s two-night/seven-meal program begins with lunch on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, and concludes with lunch on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. We provide programmed activities from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with time set aside for quality interaction and fellowship among teachers and students.
We offer highly flexible scheduling in both duration of stay and curriculum involvement. Just tell us what you want to accomplish, and we’ll work with you.
While our curriculum is designed for grades four through eight, the skills and information learned may easily be applied to all stages of life.
Nature is the best science teacher. BWLC’s science program demonstrates this fact through hands-on activities in a guided educational process. These exercises, which take place in our classroom underneath the skies, stir curiosity, foster understanding, compliment classroom curriculum and encourage character development through personal and team growth.
Science electives include: Geology, Water Study, Tree Search, Edible Plant Study.
Other electives include: Orienteering/Trailblazing, Archery, Fishing/Angling, Group Initiatives, Low Elements Challenge Course.
Afterglow activities include: night hikes, fire-making and campfires, stargazing/astronomy and group games.
