26 miles off the Southern California coast, Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, offers an unparalleled location for long-term camping. PENNINGTON MARINE SCIENCE CENTER
The Pennington Marine Science Center is a unique aquarium facility located on Catalina Island that specializes in marine science education. Our mission at the center is to educate and inspire students of all ages in the field of marine science. In order to accomplish this we utilize the latest technology and research. The Center helps build a strong foundation of conservation, stewardship, and awareness of the marine world.

The facility offers interactive displays, knowledgeable staff, and a commitment to educating our guests in the exciting field of marine science.
