Located on top of Lookout Mountain in Cloudland, Georgia, Camp Juliette Low (CJL) is an overnight summer camp for girls ages 7-17. CJL was founded in 1922 by Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts, and was the first Girl Scout camp in the Southeast. Today, CJL is a private, non-profit camp that operates independently from the Girl Scouts, continuing its original mission to provide campers with exciting, outdoor experiences that foster self-confidence, promote teamwork, encourage independence, and develop leadership skills. Campers and counselors live in four-person platform tents in a wooded setting and activities emphasize outdoor living skills and recreation.
