Camp Merrie-Woode is an all-girls residential summer camp located in the Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina. Our extraordinary natural setting has inspired thousands of girls and young women since 1919. In this friendly, non-competitive community of simplified living, each individual is valued for who she is and who she will become. Merrie-Woode is a traditional wilderness summer camp devoted to nurturing the physical, intellectual and spiritual growth of girls and young women. With this, we have developed a long-standing tradition of getting girls ages 7-17 outdoors on adventures that include backpacking, whitewater kayaking, caving, rock climbing, and more.  We are currently seeking qualified applicants who specialize in this type of outdoor education. Campers and staff alike return year after year to continue building their skills and to reconnect with friends and peers.
