Camp Nor’wester

Camp Nor’wester established in 1935, is a non-profit childrens’ summer camp located in the beautiful San Juan Islands of Washington State. Programming includes traditional activities like sailing,canoeing, arts and crafts, archery, nature studies, music and drama. We also offer kayaking, high and low ropes and challenge course, trips by boat and bicycle through the San Juans, Alpine hikes and Mt. Baker expedition in the North Cascades. Campers and staff live in tents and tipis in a rustic setting. Emphasis is on stewardship and community living.

Campers are aged 9-16 years old. We hire up to 75 college aged and older staff as counselors, instructors and support staff. Please visit our website at www.norwester.org for more information and to download camper and staff applications.
