The Outdoor Education Section of Columbus Recreation and Parks provides the local community with environmental and adventure education through group programming, six week courses, special events and four summer camps. The section oversees two facilities and four park areas all located within Franklin County. One of our facilities contains an indoor high ropes course and a traveling climbing wall. The other facility is a lodge called Indian Village located on the Scioto river. There are hiking trails, caves, canoes, a pool, low ropes course and two authentic tipis. The public can rent any of the facilities for parties, outings and overnights. Our camps during the summer offer an outdoor education camp for ages 6-12, an environmental education camp for ages 4-12, a counselor in training program and a teen adventure camp.
