Located in the Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota, approximately 2 hours north of Mnpls, Confidence Learning Center is a year around outdoor education and recreation center serving persons of all ages with developmental disabilities. Differing from a typical camp, Confidence Learning Center operates as a retreat center for groups serving persons with developmental disabilities. Visiting groups include families, school classes, group homes and others with direct care staff or parents being resposnible for the care , behaviors and well being of the campers they bring to camp.

A professional program staff provide an array of outdoor activities and educational programs for visiting groups. Both day and overnight program are available. Each visiting group’s program is tailored to meet the needs and goals of group members.

The 140 acre facility inccludes nine modern cabins complete with bedrooms, bath and showers and a full kitchen. The John Mariucci Lodge serves as the program headquarters where campers enjoy a hands on nature center, arts and crafts and astronomy room. A large indoor recreation room provides adequate space for indoor initiative agmes and more during incliment weather.

Confidence Learning Center is a non profit agency which does not rely on state or fedearl grants. Visiting groups pay a nominal fee based on the length of their stay.
