Irons Oaks is dedicated to providing quality programs and professional development experiences to advance the fields of Environmental and Adventure Education, Natural Resource Stewardship and Outdoor Recreation.
Irons Oaks is a 40-acre nature preserve. Program services include Environmental and Adventure Education on-site and outreach programs, business retreats and planning meetings, and youth programs.
Irons Oaks is located 30 miles south of Chicago in Olympia Fields, IL.
The Adventure Education program provides services to over 35,000 participants annually from across northeastern Illinois. Irons Oaks on-site adventures include a teams challenge course, two high ropes courses, power pole and an outdoor climbing wall.
Irons Oaks offers off-site climbing and outdoor recreation trips and camps.
Service learning opportunities focus on linking participants into habitat restoration efforts at Irons Oaks and in our surrounding communities. Irons Oaks is a teacher education center, providing recertification trainings and workshops for area school districts.
