Kent Mountain Adventure Center(KMAC) is a multi-faceted outdoor education center offering adventure based wilderness programs for youth ages 9-17 in mountain and desert environments. We have been in business for 15 years. KMAC works with private and public schools and summer camps conducting rock climbing
courses,canyoneering trips, mini expeditions, and Low Ropes Course Team Development training. KMAC runs an “open enrollment”Adventure Program in summer. We are staffed year around by 3 employees and increase staff to around 10 beginning March through September. We need field staff starting May 1, 2003 and an administrative staff beginning January 15, 2003
Kmac is looking for a person who can design, implement, and set up programs and courses. Must have good administrative skills as well as solid rock climbing skills. Person must be motivated and possess a genuine interest in making a positive impact on today’s youth. In addition to this we currently have position openings for course leaders, and rock climbing instructors for our spring and summer climbing camps. Instructors are responsible for carrying heavy packs, and working long hours while teaching outdoor skills, environmental stewardship and facilitating personal growth in our course participants.
Applicants must be at least 23 years of age, possess current CPR and WFR, valid driver’s license, established proficiency in backpacking and rock climbing. Must have working knowledge of “soft skills” and group process.
