Mission Statement: Kroka is a wilderness expedition school based on a year-round organic farm
in Marlow, NH. We believe that the consciousness and altruistic will that lives in all people can
be brought forward through a living relationship with the natural world and by taking our places
in the circle of community. Kroka was founded in 1996 by Misha Golfman and Lynne Boudreau with a
simple mission: to provide high-quality outdoor programming for kids that is affordable and
accessible. In the 25 years since our founding, Kroka has grown to serve 1,300 kids each year in
grades K-12. True to our mission, more than 56% of our students receive financial aid and every
program is offered on a sliding scale. We offer two credit-bearing experiential semester programs for high
school and gap-year students. Self-sufficient expeditions are the catalyst for students to come to
understand the world and themselves in new ways, learning the importance of responsibility and
commitment to shared goals while discovering ways to be at home in the outdoors.
