Long Lake Conservation Center is a residential environmental learning center located in north central Minnesota. LLCC has been providing environmental education for nearly 40 years. Long Lake Conservation Center occupies 760 acres in Aitkin County. Our 10 acre campus is situated on the shores of Long Lake. Our campus is comprised of classrooms, dormitories, dining hall, and support structures. We also have hundreds of acres of outdoor “classrooms”.
Our residential summer camp was established in 1965 and provides a mix of recreation and educational activities to youngsters ages 9-15 year old. Returning campers are eligible to participate in off-site canoe trips either on a river or in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
LLCC has been serving schools in a residential setting since 1972. Schools participate in a 48 hour educational program.
