Norwood is a private co-educational K- 8 school with close
proximity to an abundance of wonderful sites for adventure activities such as
white water kayaking and rafting, hiking, orienteering, backpacking, rock
climbing and stream studies. 

The Adventure Camp at Norwood
is open to campers who will be entering 4th through 8th
grades.  Campers are divided into groups
of 10-13 and rotate through a variety of outdoor activities, with greater
emphasis on building skills based on the individual camper’s
age/ability/interest.   The
instructor/counselor to camper ratio varies by activity from 6/7:1 for day
hikes and 5:1 for overnights to 4:1 for climbing or white water activities.

The 3 two-week sessions of Adventure run back-to-back
from 6/16/2014 – 7/25/2014 (closed 7/4).  While Adventure Camp is a
day camp (running from 8:00 – 3:30 Monday – Friday), some two-week session of
camp also includes an overnight. 
Potential candidates must be available for these trips as well.
