Pinnacle Enterprises has positions available beginning in Mid-May through the beginning and middle of August to join our Outdoor Adventure Program Staff (Dates range depending upon position). Individuals will join our team of dedicated professionals to offer the highest caliber adventure program in the mountains of North Carolina. Our program has a 525 acre site bordering the Dupont State Park and is just 15 minutes from the Pisgah National Forest where we operate many of our rock climbing, mountain biking and back packing activities.
We aim to support our staff by building a long relationship. We assist our staff in building their resumes and gaining valuable experience in their chosen fields. While we love for employees to return to participate in and make positive contributions to our program each season, former employees have gone on to participate in Outdoor Adventure Programs across the globe in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Europe. Some have become experts in their fields and started their own Outdoor Adventure companies such as Fox Mountain Guides in Hendersonville, North Carolina and ZEPtechniques in Whistler, Canada. We are closely affiliated and work with Fox Mountain Guides. We are looking for professional career instructors to fill the following positions:
Rock Climbing Director (one position), Rock Climbing Instructors (two positions), Whitewater Kayak Instructors (three positions), Mountain Biking Director (one position), Mountain Biking Instructors (three positions), Ropes Course Facilitators (two positions) and Wilderness Education Instructors (five positions).
Our pay is above industry standard and in addition to extensive in house training we also offer National Governing Body training and certifications for our employees. All training course fees and costs are covered by Pinnacle Enterprises. We offer the following training courses each year:
For all employees: Wilderness First Responder or Wilderness First Aid and CPR certification
Rock Climbing Staff: Climbing Wall Instructor and/or Single Pitch Instructor training by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA).
Whitewater Kayak Instructors: Rescue III Swiftwater Rescue Technician and White Water Kayak Instructor Level 4 (American Canoe Association)
Ropes Course Facilitators: ACCT High Ropes Training by Signature Research
Other possible training and certification courses: North Carolina Fifteen Passenger Van Driver Endorsement, Water Safety Instructor/Life Guard certifications (American Red Cross), Leave No Trace training/certification.
