San Juan College is one of the largest two-year comprehensive community colleges in New Mexico and offers academic, occupational and community service programs. The campus is located on a 600-acre site in northeast Farmington, and serves students in San Juan County as well as the Four Corners area of the American Southwest.
The Outdoor Leadership and Recreation (OLER) program at San Juan College is designed to provide an associate of arts degree in Outdoor Leadership with a variety of transfer options. The associate of arts degree in Outdoor Leadership combines general education requirements with a core group of field-based classes in outdoor leadership and recreation. It is our mission to provide students with an education in adventure and outdoor recreation leadership that is consistent and up-to-date with industry standards and trends. We focus on the development of outdoor skills and teaching techniques.
