The Sierra Club is the largest grassroots environmental organization in the country and has been running outings for over 100 years. Sierra Club Outings span a wide array of offerings from a dayhike in the county park down the road to 2 months trekking in Nepal to building and repairing backcountry trails to working with inner city youth across the US and Canada. Sierra Club Outings, across its three Outings programs, takes more than 250,000 people in the out of doors every year. Our leaders are all volunteers who have received training appropriate to the type of outings they lead.
