Program: We are an outdoor education program located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills of California. We serve elementary, and junior high students from Central/Northern California. The majority of our program is serving school groups of 4th-6th grade students who come for 1-5 day residential outdoor education programs, focusing on environmental science, outdoor adventure, team building, and gold rush history. The surrounding mixed-conifer forest is our primary classroom. The nearby giant sequoia forests, local caverns and Columbia Historic State Park also provide rich educational experiences. Our mission is to provide, in an outdoor setting, a science-based educational experience in which one learns how to respect one’s self, others, and the environment.
