St. Vincent’s Home is a residential treatment center and special education center for young people ranging in age from 5 to 22 with the goal and motto of “giving children in need what they need most”. These young people are referred to St. Vincent’s by school districts, state departments of social services, mental health, and youth services, and insurance companies for a variety of reasons, which include acute personal or family crises; physical, emotional, or sexual abuse; substance abuse; learning difficulties; and developmental and behavioral challenges. St. Vincent’s Home is a non-profit organization wiht a multidisciplinary team of licensed social workers and other mental health counselors, certified special education teachers, residential counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses and physicians — all dedicated to helping youngsters and their families overcome life’s challenges.
