The Tenafly Nature Center is a place to relax and study upland forests, streams, freshwater ponds, and the wildlife who call these habitats “home”.
Everyone is welcome! This 52-acre haven adjoins the 330-acre Lost Brook Preserve. Within this natural tract you’ll find six miles of trails maintained mostly by volunteers. Inside the John A. Redfield Building you can browse the natural history exhibits and hands-on displays, study live animals, borrow a book from the Stephen Minkoff Memorial Library, and visit our Nature Gift Shop. The Tenafly Nature Center Association is a non-profit, member-supported organization dedicated to environmental education and land stewardship. Our professional naturalists offer a wide variety of programs including school trips, scout badges, and birthday parties, family, adult, and after-school programs, Nature Day Camp, and natural history field trips.
