This program is dedicated to providing positive outdoor education, recreation, and adventure experiences to the Texas State community.
Texas State University-San Marcos, a member of the Texas State University System, is an equal opportunity educational institution. The University is located in San Marcos, Texas, 35 miles south of Austin and 45 miles north of San Antonio. Texas State has approximately 34,100 students. The Department of Campus Recreation manages the 190,000 square feet Student Recreation Center (SRC), five outdoor fields, the Aqua Sports Center, Sewell Park, Outdoor Center, University Camp and the Texas State Golf Course. The Department of Campus Recreation includes a Fitness and Wellness program, Informal Recreation, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Outdoor Recreation, Aquatics & Safety and a Golf Course program.
