The University of Central Florida, located approximately 15 miles east of downtown Orlando, is one of the most dynamic and diverse universities in the country. The 149,000-square-foot Recreation and Wellness Center, which opened in 2002 and was recently expanded in 2011 comes complete with a three-story climbing tower, an indoor track, six multipurpose courts, two pools and a wide variety of fitness equipment and classes. The 8,700-square-foot RWC @ Knights Plaza satellite facility opened in January 2013 and features strength, cardio and mind-body areas to serve the fitness program.
