Whittaker Mountaineering is a full service outdoor
specialty shop located at the base of Mount Rainier in Ashford, Wash.  Peter Whittaker started the store in 1997 to
address the needs of both local hikers and mountaineers.  The store is located six miles outside Mount RainierNational Park adjacent to Whittaker’s
Bunkhouse and Rainier Mountaineering, Inc.’s Base Camp and provides retail and
rental items to RMI clients as well as independent climbers.
