Wildcat Bluff Nature Center

Wildcat Bluff Nature Center (WBNC) is a 10 year old 501-c3 organization who is ready to hire an executive director to lead the organization into further growth in serving the panhandle of texas in environmental education. WBNC has 645 acres 1 mile from the city limits of amarillo, texas. Over the past ten years it has created hiking trails, educational programing, a visitor center, education center, and a two acre handicap accessable nature experience which is a microcosm of the 640 acre prairie, bluff, and creek.
Educational programing currently consists of biology: plant life, animal life, water life and geology of the area. Specific education has been created for 4th-6th grade students.

WBNC is looking for a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills to drive the educational directions, assist the board of directors in funding activities, and oversee the development of further programing.

Amarillo texas is a community of 200,000 serving the 26 counties of the texas panhandle. As it is located along Interstate 40, it has thriving tourist activities. It has a community college and participates with West Texas A&M university in nearby Canyon, Texas. The university provide much expertise and intern students for the center.
