YMCA Adventure Programs

The YMCA Adventure Programs promotes, through wilderness experiences, the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and offers particpants these programs in a safe, fun and learning environment. The 2 program components are:

1. The YMCA Adventure Camp is an innovative, experiential, co-ed, Monday – Friday residents camp located 1 hour north of New York City on the boundary of Clarence Fahnestock State Park and is just minutes from the Appalachian Trail. We offer our participants six, one week, adventures which include; white water canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, sea kayaking, backpacking, pioneer living, outrigger canoeing, rock climbing, ropes courses and outdoor survival skills.

2. YMCA Adventure Trips are carefully instructed, exciting, and safe 10-day travel adventures throughout the northeast. From the highpeaks of the Adirondacks to the remote islands of Maine. Activites include hiking, bicycle touring, mountainboarding, multi-day sea kayak expeditions, rock-climbing and overnight sailing trips.
