Camp Hanes is located at the base of Sauratown Mountain, just 30 minutes north of Winston-Salem, NC YMCA Camp Hanes provides opportunities for Summer Camp, Retreats, and Environmental Education. Camp Hanes has been serving the children of Winston-Salem and the North Carolina area since 1927.

The Goals of our Program:

To have an educational experience in a safe, social, hands-on and fun program.

To strengthen relationships between students and between teachers and students.

To teach lessons that enhance the North Carolina curriculum.

To promote within a student a greater sense of independence and self-respect.

To better enable and encourage students to understand and experience the relationships between themselves and the natural environment.
