Stress exposure is inherent in the outdoor industry. From day to day stressors of consistently managing clients in the outdoors, to the impact of incidents and near misses, there is a high risk for burnout and traumatic stress injury, for both guides and clients.
This webinar will introduce the concept of stress injury, with the goal of helping guides identify and manage the risk of stress impact. We will cover how stress injuries are formed, psychological first aid skills to support others and discuss the importance of including structured support for stress exposure within organizational risk management plans.
