Greenfield Community College’s Adventure Education and Outdoor Leadership Department has been preparing students to enter the outdoor adventure education and recreation industry as qualified professional leaders since 1980. Our flagship certificate and curriculum are designed so that our courses can reach more students in more ways, in alignment with trends and developments in outdoor recreation and adventure tourism while maintaining our high standards of excellence.
We have 4 ways students can participate in our program:
* Associate Degree: Earn a degree in Adventure Education in 2 years as a full-time student, or take courses on a part-time basis to fit your personal schedule and needs.
* One-Year Intensive Certificate: Earn a certificate in Outdoor Leadership in 9 months as a full-time member of our selective OLP cohort. Perfect for those who may already have a degree in hand, or simply aren’t interested in a degree program, but are interested in state-of-the-art instruction and certification in the foundational skills of professional outdoor leadership.
* Outdoor Industry Certifications and Training: Earn, renew or update a nationally-recognized certification for college credit or non-credit based upon your needs.
* Individual Classes: Take OLP classes—for credit or credit-free one at a time to best fit your schedule and interests.
