Programs are conducted in twenty-nine foot “North” canoes. The fourteen person (seven when camping) canoes facilitate the group development process, equalize skill development allowing students, educators, families, corporate groups and individuals to experience canoeing in a relatively stress free atmosphere. Our Maine Water Studies programs are conducted on rivers, lakes and inshore coastal areas. The programs incorporate outdoor education, environmental and experiential education with local resources to involve educators in connecting students with their environment and community. Programs include: teacher workshops for recertification, one or multi-day programs for school groups, custom camping programs.
