The Don Lee Center Coastal Communities Environmental Education Program introduces students to the wonders of nature and outdoor discovery through unique learning opportunities. Located along the banks of the Neuse River Estuary, Don Lee offers a variety of hands-on, interactive educational programs and team-building experiences for students of all ages during the school year. Removed from the distractions of everyday life, groups of 15 to 200 students are welcome to spend up to a week exploring the natural world in this ideal coastal setting.
Don Lee is also a summer camp and a retreat center affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Summer campers as young as 7 and as old as 17 can stay from 3 days to 4 weeks participating in activities such as sailing, swimming, target sports and more. From youth groups to sororities and every group in between can enjoy the peace and nature of camp while participating in camp activities and their own programming.
The camp is open to retreat groups all year; EE programs running from March-May and September- November and Summer Camp from June- August.
